Nice New Hotel
Amsterdam Inn & SuitesWe stopped at the Amsterdam Inn in Florencenville-Bristol on our recent trip to PEI. Our room was on the first floor and had a door to go directly outside which was great for Fido. Right outside the door there are areas of small stones (good for peeing on) and if not, there are fields basically all around the hotel. Hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but is a great stop while in transit. Hotel is new, only 2 years old, so it's impeccable. We got a really good rate (better than other hotels in the area) and it included a very nice hot breakfast. Would definitely stop here again.
Delicious food in a casual setting
Ship to ShoreOn our recent visit to PEI we stopped in at Ship to Shore as we saw it was dog friendly. The food is excellent, the patio is dog friendly, the staff was very nice (and liked dogs) and there is a really nice view from the patio . The best food we had in the area! We went back 3 times during our 5 day visit. There is also a large yard where you can walk Fido while waiting for your food (which actually came very quickly). Closes at 8pm (like most restaurants in the area) so just be sure not too arrive too late!
Cute Place with Nice Patio
Blue Mussel CafeRestaurant was very accommodating. It was raining heavily when we got there, but they managed to keep a section of the patio dry under umbrellas as they knew we were coming with our dog. Food was good, the place is very cute, and has nice views on the harbour side. We were on the other side, but it was still very pleasant. Staff very friendly and service was surprisingly quick given how busy it was. Brought a bowl of water for our dog. 4 stars as the lime mussels were a bit disappointing and the seared tuna (delicious) was a bit on the small side for the portion.
