Dog loving waitstaff, great food
Sawbelly BrewingExcellent evening supper with friends and dogs.
Our waitress was outstanding, helping to select beer and food. She was able to help non-IPA beer drinkers find IPA’s they enjoyed. While doing all this she made time to interact with the dogs, making sure they got their share of attention and vegetable snacks.
The souvlaki was great and the fries were excellent.
Excellent dog friendly location
Char and ChowderAsked a local St Andrews police officer for a dog friendly place to eat, she suggested Char Chowder. Excellent recommendation.
Numerous good beer on tap to try. We had the salmon sandwich, highly recommend it. A well done smoked salmon.
The place made our dog feel welcome. They provided a water bowl and treats, not to mention the attention from the staff each time they walked by.
If you and your dog are in St Andrews, this place is worth a stop in.
Nice place to stay
Best Western Plus Overland InnClean rooms and relatively quiet for being off a major highway. Above average hotel breakfast. Hotel staff were friendly and ready with a dog treat.. Ample green areas around hotel to walk the dog.
You Get What You Pay For
Motel 6 West Des Moines IAPet friendly in name only.
Very limited space to walk a dog,. Very loud, road and general hotel noise, kept the dog up all night.
Room smelled like stale cigarettes and the exterior security door were stuck open.
The dogs liked it
Days Inn by Wyndham ErieStayed for a night. The place is pet friendly, with plenty of space for walking a dog.
The humans were not so thrilled, long dark hallways (most of the hall lights were out), no security locks on hotel exterior doors and serious road noise.
Overnight Stay with 2 dogs
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Denver GoldenThe staff were very accommodating and pleasant. No issues with the two dogs.
There is construction going on around the hotel limited some of the places to walk a dog, otherwise there is ample space. Ask for a courtyard room, no road noise at all.
