Not worth the price
Staybridge Suites Reno an IHG HotelRoom was quite homey and upkeep in the hotel overall seemed great. Several things fell below our expectations for the price though: breakfast quality (aside from waffles), no water fountain access outside of breakfast (gym has some but they aren’t convenient for refilling bottles), TV connectivity (flaky signal, unresponsive controls), AC vents aimed right at our heads in bed. Very confused front desk staff (who spent 20 min looking for a pet agreement form before giving up and giving us a pair of non-working key cards).
Clean, comfortable, and dog friendly
Tru by Hilton North PlatteHotel feels like a very clean and well managed college dorm with a convenient common area for socializing, games, food, and supplies. Very happy with our stay and would absolutely return if we’re in the area. Lots of convenient freshly mowed grass fields around the hotel, spacious bathroom, phone-based room key available, decent breakfast, free parking, and very functional room design (e.g. lots of entryway hooks, places for bags, a fridge, etc). No complaints at all!
Quiet location near Red Rocks
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Littleton/Red RocksClean, quiet, and very spacious dog friendly room. Unfortunately we were placed on an upper floor so things like water and ice required an elevator ride. Free breakfast (waffles!), parking, and late checkout were much appreciated. Area is very suburban.
Beautiful
Magnolia Hotel OmahaBeautiful and very dog friendly hotel with great food and atmosphere. The area doesn’t feel the safest at night so paying for parking in their private lot seems to be what most guests with cars do.
Fair for the price?
Hyatt Place Chicago O'Hare AirportGood proximity to car rentals and the airport. Free breakfast was decent. Some things that were not so nice: lobby consistently smelled like foot fungus, few staff available, front desk seemed to be constantly confused (not familiar with the hotel’s tow/trailer parking, dog amenities, need for door tags, nearby grassy areas).
