Lower your expectations

Bed was a trampoline. AC unit was extremely loud and pulsating an even louder noise - literally equivalent to the throbbing of a bad headache. I got about two hours of sleep. While taking my dog outside to do his business, a car full of tweekers rolled up on me fast from behind the plaza next door and I literally had to turn and run back to the room to escape being robbed (hahahaha). Otherwise, no complaints. It's a hotel in Barstow. I doubt any other hotel would have been any better. Like I said, lower your expectations or better yet, don't have any at all. Might want to carry a weapon for self defense just in case.
