Poor management

First of all, they immediately charged us for the first night's stay even though the booking site stated nothing would be charged until check in. Our next issue was concerning early check-in....even though we called when we were about an hour away and asked for early check-in, when we arrived the room was still not ready. It was not ready until 40 minutes before regular check in. So we had to pay the extra $25 for 40 minutes. We needed the early check-in because we were traveling with our dog.

Which brings up the next issue, the pet fee. It did not state on Booking how much the pet fee was, just stated there was one. They had a sign posted in the lobby about the pet fee, but it did not state that it was per night! Overall, we ended up paying almost TWICE the amount that the booking site quoted. Also, the balcony was full of spiderwebs but they would not provide a broom for us to clean it up. They wanted to send housekeeping but we had already disinfected the room and did not want anyone else coming in. Beds were hard as a rock but that is usual for a hotel. Not enough garbage cans (women need one in the bathroom please!).

Air conditioner took forever to get going and it was very humid in the room. Grass area for dog walking was not very pet friendly, more weeds and rocks than grass. Gap between elevator and floor was kinda big and we were concerned that our small dog would get her paw stuck as she went in/out. Worst of all was the attitude of the front desk, especially the two managers that we spoke with due to all these issues. We gave it two bones only because the forest view and the balcony was beautiful and we enjoyed it very much, perfect for our dog to enjoy with us, and the hotel was pretty quiet.
