Avoid at all costs!

We reserved a room through Priceline at the Comfort Inn Wethersfield while traveling through Connecticut with our senior dog. We arrived around 7:30 on a Friday evening to find absolute chaos. After navigating rope/tape around the front of the hotel to find the lobby, we were told the card key system was non-functional and wouldn't be restored until the next day at the earliest. That meant a staff member had to escort each guest on each and every trip in.

Since our dog would needed to go outside during the night (often multiple times), this was not a feasible option, which we informed the front desk about, and had to find another hotel last minute at double the price. Hotel management refused to refund our money through Priceline or to even respond to emails about it until we contacted top executives at Priceline and Comfort Inn.

The GM then proceeded to lie about the situation, claiming the key card system had been functional and we were a "no show." However, he was caught in a lie about the key card system by online reviews from other customers the same night who posted on another travel website. Bottom line, it took us weeks to get our money back when we were unable to stay here. This hotel is an absolute mess, the cheap price isn't worth it, and management is completely unethical.
