Rude staff

I got caught in an ice storm and decided to spend the night in Bangor. I was relieved to find a Hampton Inn with vacancies. I usually stay at Hampton Inn. This hotel was nice—it was clean and had the same quality I expect from Hampton Inn. However, I could not feel less welcomed. They made it clear that while they allow guests with pets, they really don’t want dogs in their hotel. They hadn’t even seen my two 13+ year old dogs before they warned me about them being loud and unruly. They also had signs warning that they use non-pet-friendly salt in the pet walking area. I was very disappointed and could not wait to leave.
