Not 100% pet friendly

They take pets but I would not call the hotel pet friendly. I asked a lady behind the desk for outside happy hour restaurant suggestions so we could take our dog. She said no one allows dogs. I said outside on the patio not inside. She said no restaurants allow dogs on the patio. Lie! There are several that do. We sat for breakfast outside the dining area. No issues until two days later and the staff said we couldn’t sit at the table. Apparently we are supposed to eat breakfast in our room. We were on the beach with our dog who was on a leash and by our side for two days -- no problem. And then I’m walking through the lobby to get to the beach and someone said you can’t be there. Not super friendly when it comes to pets. The hotel itself was clean.
