Poor service

Traveling with our grand dog during a heat wave, we arrived sooner in Mesquite than expected. Temps already above 110° and they would not allow us to check-in early to keep cool. We drove around town for a bit looking for someplace to hang out for a while and try to keep cool, but the town is not the best place to stop with dogs. We returned to the hotel and sat in the lobby for an hour and a half before we could check in. The attitude of the clerk was far from friendly or accommodating for our situation. I would have driven further toward Los Angeles, but the purpose of our trip was to meet our son halfway and return his dog to him without either party traveling through dangerous heat for more than 4 hours. I do not recommend the service at Holiday Inn.
