No dog walking area

Let me start by saying that the hotel and staff were great, very nice. Being that this was not our first time traveling with our dog and staying at a hotel, I was expecting the usual and maybe a little more considering that it was a 4 start resort and charged a higher pet fee of $250. There was no where to walk the dog, and since dogs are not allowed on the boardwalk, the only patch of grass I could find was in a parking lot next to the hotel, which was littered with broken glass and garbage. I understand that the pet fee is to cover incidentals for the room, but if they are going to charge that much and call themselves pet friendly, I would expect a descent area to walk your dog so it doesn't have an accident in the room.
