Largest and best dog park in the Seattle area -- one of the best on the West Coast

Marymoor Park

Fields, treed areas, and a river with access points for the pups to get in. It's doggy paradise, and with forty acres, it's more than a mile to loop around the perimeter, so you don't get bored getting your exercise while the pups run. A bonus is listening to and watching the herons every spring as their hatchlings mature in their nests by the river. The herons return to the same spot every year. Lots of geese and ducks and even the occasional eagle in the river area too. The only downside is that Marymoor is understandably popular, so there are always a lot of dogs, and there can be incidents. Early mornings or late evenings (once the days are longer) are best if you can swing it.

Largest dog park in Bend, all fenced, about 14 acres

Dog Park at Pine Nursery Park

There are a number of dog parks in Bend (as well as some hiking trails where dogs are allowed off leash), so it's a great city for the furry ones. Pine Nursery and Big Sky are the largest dog parks, and both are fenced all the way around. Pine Nursery has a nice mix of trails and open areas with a big grassy field in the back. Definitely a five-star park. The genius who complained about hot sand when it was 95F shouldn't have had his dogs at the dog park in that heat. Duh, common sense, people. That's too hot for dogs to run around, sand or not. Get them their exercise in the morning on summer days.
