Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Youngstown / Girard Ohiothe town & buildings are dated & weathered but our rooms had brand new beds. we had a perfect nights sleep!! we pick up after our dog but not everyone else does. watch where you walk. i didnt like writing my credit card number on a piece of paper for the pet fee but so far so good. surprised to see such an antiquated procedure. definitely recommend pizza hut delivery but not the one advertised in the room. we used the one my phone pulled up.

keep driving-skip this town
Hotel Veranda DuBoishad in issue at another hotel down the road so we relocated here. after the rigmarole of checking in (listening to the woes of working for a corporate establishment & complaining about the printer, third party booking sites, other employees etc etc etc) i finally just begged for the keys. when i went to check on the room before retrieving my mother, dog & luggage, i saw a snake slithering down the hall. it was well after 9pm & the rear entrance door was propped open. plus a side door was busted so anyone & anything can just come on in. we didnt have much choice at this point so we decided to stay. we locked the door with the bolt, latch & chain. later, after midnight, we exited through our backdoor that leads to the pool courtyard to walk the dog. well apparently youre not supposed to use this door because the card readers dont work. i got us back into the hotel but was locked out of our room because we had chained etc the door. i went to the front desk & explained the situation. he indicated this was a big problem. he immediately gave me his office chair to wheel down the hall so my mother could sit (my car keys were locked in the room). he said he would try a mechanical key but said we might have to wake the guest in the adjoining room if that doesnt work. after a few tries he got us in & we called it a night. the next morning i checked out the complimentary breakfast & left with several snapsnots & a cup of coffee. i have never seen a breakfast look like this. i wont elaborate because if you choose to stay here even after reading this review then you might enjoy the breakfast. i will say a lot of effort went into preparing it. upon check out i mentioned how we were locked out & there was a snake in the hall. she said they got the snake & youre not supposed to use the other door. how about a sign? or some caution tape? im itchy too now but am hoping a mosquito got me.

not handicapped accessible
Best Western DuBois Hoteli booked two rooms 3 months in advance & upon check in was offered a room on the first & third floors but my mother has difficulty with stairs. then we were offered two rooms next to each other in the conference center (detached building). we took those rooms but after we drove down there, i noticed the door was ajar. i went up a long staircase to find two guest room doors ajar en route to our rooms. every hair stood up on my neck & i ran out of there. it was well after dark & it just didnt feel right. we went back to the front desk & was offered the hot tub room for more money & the other room on another floor. i looked on bringfido & there was another hotel down the road. the best western manager did coordinate a refund which i greatly appreciated!!! the front desk remained pleasant & understanding the whole time which i appreciated as well. fyi the new hotel down the road was not any better!! skip this town!!
