I have a young Boxer I travel with; it is typically just the two of us.

Great place to stay!

Super 8 by Wyndham Junction City

I am traveling a few days' distance with my dog (Boxer) and was looking for a pet friendly motel/hotel. There weren't a lot of reliable reviews for this Super 8, so I decided to try it and I was very, very pleased! I know some motels/hotels have pet restrictions, so I called to get the details ahead of time. The pet fee was minimal and they reassured me on the phone that they were very pet friendly. I was driving 8/9 hours that day and I didn't want any surprises when I got there as far as the pet policy. The owners were so friendly, accommodating, and helpful, as I came in after driving all day. They welcomed my Boxer and I into the lobby and we even got to meet their cat. As I was leaving to go to my room, I asked if my dog was allowed to come in to breakfast and the owner looked at me like that was a ridiculous question and said, "Of course!" The Hyatt, I believe, is right across the driveway (you don't have to cross a street) and there is a huge grassy area there to walk your dog.
My room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, I was able to park right in front of my door, all the amenities worked well; refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, TV, heating/AC, shower. For the complimentary breakfast, there were waffles, biscuits and gravy, yogurt and fruit cups, oatmeal, toast, cereal, and assorted pastries. Check in and out were very fast and easy, and the owners answered any questions I had. I was going to drive further on my way back home, but since you don't know what you are going to get at a motel/hotel sometimes and I'm unfamiliar with Kansas, I'm going to book a room at the same motel since I know it is a great place for my dog and I to stay. Also, it was just my dog and I and I didn't at any time feel unsafe. It is a cute little town and right off the highway (70), and it was very easy to find and get to. It was well lighted also - I walked my dog at 11:30 p.m. and I wasn't overly concerned about my safety.
