We are a family of 4 with a 30lb Pit/Pug mix. Our family friend likes to go where we go and we won’t go without him.

Adjoining rooms
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham KearneyThis was our first stop on a trip to Tahoe with our two girls and our dog. The rooms was fairly clean, some smell. The room was small and dingy. The staff were welcoming. Our biggest issue was that we were in an adjoining room with other pet owners. The dogs were sniffing and barking at each other under the door often. Not the best experience. A bright spot was the dedicated green space with poop bags for dogs. Biggest complaint was the adjoining room.
Third Night On A Long Trip
Holiday Inn Express Winnemucca an IHG HotelWe stopped here on our way from Illinois to Tahoe. This was the third night with our two girls and our dog. This was by far the largest room we had. It was very clean too. Hotel has a casino and Mexican restaurant attached. Don’t walk your dog down near the cemetery near the hotel (about the only green space). The groundskeeper was quite protective, even of the grass strip closest to the road. Good stop overall. We felt very welcome.
Nice Stop
Holiday Inn Express Rawlins an IHG HotelWe stopped here on our return from Lake Tahoe. A very spacious and clean room. We were tired so did not explore much. However, this was one of our best stops during the trip.
Good Ole Hampton Inn
Hampton Inn Rock SpringsI have always preferred Hampton Inn for business and family travel. This time we road tripped from Illinois to Tahoe with our 2 girls and our dog. This location was particularly friendly and very clean. The town itself was a pleasant stop too. A great choice, clean and friendly.
Ok Property, Poor Housekeeping
Comfort Suites UniversityWe were on our last night returning from a family road trip from Peoria to Lake Tahoe and back. This property has rather new furnishings, but the property is obviously poorly maintained. From the front door covered in grime, to filthy carpet, smelly room and a bathroom used as a pen for previous pets poorly cleaned, this was the worst hotel on a series of 5 stays over our trip. The doors to the rooms are dirty and dinged up. This was the only hotel where our dog spent much time sniffing around the room. Our room stank! The property offers little to no green space. Kind of a sketchy neighborhood
