Crappy Place to Stay
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Savannah SouthsideThe women in reception were friendly, but I didn’t feel safe. The room was filthy- literally a bag of stinking trash was left in a drawer and the floors were disgusting. The entire place smelled like drugs and homeless people were camped on the property near the area designated for dogs to relieve themselves. The linens and towels were clean, but there was a sticky film on bedside tables and alarm clock. I had driven 800 miles so I crashed for two hours and left in the wee hours because I was afraid my car would be broken into. I’ve loved many other La Quinta Inns but avoid this one.

Noisy neighbors and one rude desk person
La Quinta Inn and Suites Fort Myers I-75The hotel and most of the staff were really exceptional , but there was the late shift front desk person (dyed red hair & meth mouth) who was friendly until I made a comment about the people partying in the room next door. They were very loud until around 2:30 or 3:00 am.
When I mentioned that I was not able to sleep, she all but called me a liar and said I was wrong, and that she had been there, and they weren’t being noisy 😩 That explains why at the time when I went to the front desk to ask if I could maybe change rooms.... nobody was there. I believe she may have been partying with them and that’s why she was angry and defensive. Other than that, all was well with my dogs. They were offered treats upon arrival, and there’s an outdoor area with poo bags provided for the pets to relieve themselves. PS their complimentary apples were great.
