Nice Hotel But Not All That Pet Friendly

We stayed here for the second time in 3 months and had a great experience the first time. They have a rooftop bar/restaurant and we spent a lovely evening there in April. We returned in July to find that they not no longer allow dogs upstairs. The odd part is they allow them in the bar/cafe downstairs. When we asked about the new rule they claimed dogs could jump off the roof as the railing was not adequate for preventing such an unfortunate event. Things that make you scratch your head.
We will be looking for another pet friendly hotel in The Richmond area in the future.
