Excellent Stay
Svendsgaard's InnSuper dog friendly. Rooms with half-doors open onto a central grassy plaza and pool where a few well socialized dogs romped together in the morning. The bring-breakfast-to-your-room is charming. The staff was amazing. We'll come back to Carmel based on our experience at Svendsgaard's. The room was nice, very clean, tile floor so sandy paws don't make a mess, bed was great. All around a superior experience.
Meh
Blue Seal InnThe owner is making renovations (room by room) and the renovated rooms are no carpet (better for fido.) We were in an older room which was functional but not well maintained. The hotel seems best suited to migrant construction workers and beach people with low standards. The dog was no problem and nearby beaches are dog friendly, but the whole experience was poor. Choose another place if you want to enjoy Pismo Beach.
Great Place
La Quinta by Wyndham St. GeorgeNo carpet room, plenty of space, they loved my 60 lb. poodle. Nice grassy areas nearby (not common for this part of Utah.) Good bed. No complaints.
great for pets
Red Roof Inn & Suites Omaha - Council BluffsThe hotel is right off the interstate near shopping and restaurants. Our room was not carpeted, large, clean and perfect for my large dog. The staff was friendly and easy going. There were some grassy spots between hotels for a quick pet potty break. If you're just passing through, this is a good place at a great price.
