Awesome Pet Friendly Brewery
Almanac Beer CoWe really enjoyed our day at Almanac as they were very kid and pet friendly (as advertised.) Dogs are allowed inside the beer hall (which is air-conditioned) and everywhere outside (yard games, food truck, and picnic tables). There was plenty of seating and room for our puppy to lay down without being in the way. This has been a favorite dog-friendly spot to get a drink.
Good, not Great for Dogs
Faction BrewingFaction does not allow dogs inside or on the patio area, so we were limited to the concrete courtyard. This area did have plenty of tables, yard games, and a nice view. However, it did not feel very pet friendly - zero shade and no water bowls, so be sure to bring your own and avoid super hot days. Overall, I love that Faction allows leashed dogs, but it was not my favorite spot for a drink with my puppy.
Amazing campground in South Lake Tahoe for Dogs
Fallen Leaf CampgroundWe had a great camping and hiking experience at Fallen Leaf Campground with our 6 month old puppy. All campsites were full on a Saturday in August and majority had pets. Fallen Leaf Lake is a ~1/4 mile walk from most of the campsites. Our dog loved playing in the lake, going for a ~2 mile hike along the perimeter, and meeting the other dogs. This was a friendly atmosphere and we recommend for families newer to camping or RVing with their pet.
A few things to be aware of: bears are known to frequent this campground, there can be a lot of traffic near this location on weekends, the actual campsites are fairly close together
Very Pet Friendly Winery
Larson Family WineryLarson Family Winery has multiple Labrador Retrievers on site and welcome visitors to bring their own dogs. We felt comfortable bringing our puppy and were encouraged to bring her inside for wine tasting and explore the patio seating outside as well. There were ~5 other dogs at this location as well. This winery does not have our favorite wine in Sonoma, but the owners were very friendly and welcoming
Wonderful Pet Friendly Winery
B.R. Cohn Winery and Olive Oil CompanyHad a really positive experience bringing our 6 month old puppy to this winery. Dogs are allowed everywhere - indoor wine tasting room and patio/lawn areas where shade is available. The staff and manager were very friendly to our dog, offering treats, water, and lots of attention. We were hesitant to bring our dog to Sonoma and were met with a wonderful experience at B.R. Cohn. Highly recommend for anyone with friendly and well-behaved dogs.
