Ridiculous Pet Policy

I stopped in to the Country Inn and Suites because of largely positive reviews. I was a bit put off by their pet fee (more than double most places I’ve stayed), but can understand to some extent. Until I read the pet policy... in addition to the standard “don’t leave your dog alone” stuff, highlighted was the following: “Any refunds that the hotel must give because of your pet disturbing another guest will be charged to your credit card.”
This is absurd, and I was made to sign it if I wanted to stay with my pup. While the room seemed clean (hence 2 bones not 1), and my dog is not a barker, this will still be both my first and last time staying here. BEWARE!
