La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Islip - MacArthur AirportLet's be clear: I only stay at this motel because my large dog is permitted and there is a field nearby where I can exercise him. After more than 12 stays here, I can attest to the following: The internet is absurdly slow everywhere except the rooms just to the west of the elevator. The 'breakfast' is even more basic than that at most other motel chains, lacking even scrambled eggs. The carpeting is getting threadbare. There is some good, though: having the coffee available in the lobby 24/7 is a nice touch, and the place is reasonably clean.

Slipping
Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Long Island - Garden CityI’ve rated this property higher in the past. This stay, however, some problems surfaced: cleanliness was only fair, paint and furnishings are getting worn, and dedpite this being a 100% smoke-free facility, I could smell cigarette smoke nearly every time I entered the bathroom. The surrounding grounds are not being maintained as well as in the past either.

Convenient
Red Roof Inn Dayton South MiamisburgAbout what one would expect for the price; possibly better. Biggest complaint is that all the rooms, including non-smoking, have large numbers of discarded cigarette butts littering the grounds just outside the doors.
