Great location and great for dogs
The Happy HollowThe grassy area was nice and the room was clean. The motel is old but nice enough and in a great location. It had a window unit A/C which was fine since were there in May. I’m not sure what it would be like in July or August.
Great for Dogs
Embassy Suites by Hilton Hot Springs Hotel & SpaThe hotel is great for dogs. We have a suite which had a very nice "kitchenette" area for me to prepare lunches to take on the trails with us. The hotel has a great large area for dogs to do their business (although it isn't fenced in like a dog park would be so you can't let the dogs off leash). If I had any complaints, it would be that even knowing that we had dogs, they put us on the 7th floor. There were 2 times when we got in the elevator only to be welcomed by dog urine on the floor left by irresponsible dog owners. Then, since we are the only people on the elevator, when we exit to people waiting to get on, if of course, appears that our dogs peed in the elevator. This, of course, isn't the hotel's fault. However, I told the hotel 2 days during our 3 day stay that the trash can in the dog yard was full (at least people were actually picking up their dog's poop.) and it was still full when we left. By that time, the lid was propped open due to the amount of doggie bags in the can. That's really my only complaint. I would definitely stay there again.
Very nice hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham Houston Galleria AreaOf course, during COVID, everything is off track but the hotel was nice, clean and fully booked (for some reason). There isn’t much grass but there is some outside the courtyard and across the street behind the hotel. We only stayed one night but overall, we were very pleased with the hotel.
