Things to know!

If visiting in the summer, be aware that you must park a good ways from where the trail actually starts. You park in the lot for the shopping area in town and must walk along a good deal of pavement before getting to the hot sand. Too much hot for doggie feet. Also you walk behind private cabana areas and the locals are uppity and rude. One actually asked why I was there and then said that he wish they would close access to this. Sorry to invade on the exclusivity of your private cabana's parking area. Not visiting again.
