Pet Friendly

Hilton Garden Inn Tallahassee

Nice hotel. Quiet and clean. Only 1 baggage cart and pet area was without waste bags and the trash was full/overflowing. We bring our own bags but it says something about how pet friendly they were. Close to restaurants and easy access to highway. We'd stay again.

Nice

Holiday Inn Baton Rouge College Drive I-10 an IHG Hotel

Friendly, clean, and quiet (though a little heavy on the room deodorizer). Close to restaurants and easy access to the highway. I'd go back.

Ok

Quality Inn Liberal

With regards to this hotel, it was adequate though old. There was a quasi grass area out back which was quite large. They did not provide pet bags (which is not a problem for responsible pet owners but is an indication of the management's feelings about pets) and no trash receptacles. So after picking up your dog's package you have to go in side and find a trash to deposit it. The room appeared clean.

THE BEST!

La Quinta by Wyndham Effingham

I came back to this hotel a year later and my previous comments are still germaine. Though the La Quinta in Albeuqurque was the best for this trip.
Rules of Road#1: you get what you pay for. This was the BEST hotel I stayed at on my 8 night/9 day cross country driving trip. Very clean, modern, staff was very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was very good. Wallmart and multiple restaurants very close. When we first arrived in the room I noted some stains on the wall. I called the staff and they came immediately and cleaned them. There are 2 pet areas but on the downside both were out of bags.
Rules of the road #2. PICK UP YOUR DOG's POOP. You ruin it for other responsible pet owners when you just leave it there.

Best!

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albuquerque Midtown

La Quinta and Holiday Inn Express are the best pet friendly and the best quality hotels for the price. Every room at this La Quinta was pet friendly. They also had a completely enclosed area with grass, pet bags and trash can so your babies could run off the leash. Downside is it also is used for smokers. Rooms were spacious and clean. Close to highway 40 and restaurants.

very pet friendly

La Quinta by Wyndham Springfield Airport Plaza

LaQuinta consistently is a great hotel and is good with pets as well. Thanks to the Covid 19 hysteria no breakfast. I would definitely stay again

Horrible

Comfort Inn & Suites I-10 Airport

I have written in the past that "you get what you pay for" but this rule was violated by this hotel. The interior was dark and uninviting. The room was clean but there was a horrible odor in the hallway 1 door down from our room which smelled like a backed up septic system (this thankfully disappeared several hours later). Thank God our room did not smell like that or we would have left. Both ice machines were broken so there was no ice what so ever. You would think they would have purchased ice but sadly not. The 2 trash cans outside the front door were full and overflowing at 5 pm in the evening. When we alerted the front desk all they said was the cleaning staff would be there in the AM. The hallway carpets were absolutely filthy. No luggage carts, no breakfast, no coffee and no pet areas to speak of. This hotel clearly is desperate need for management.

Great Location

Quality Inn & Suites

Overall very nice. Close to the highway (which was loud). Room and facility were clean. They actually provided breakfast and coffee (which wasn't bad). Room doors open to the parking lot so you could park right in front of your room and makes for easy egress and ingress but can be noisy in the AM when everyone is leaving.. Lots of grass for the dogs. Front desk folks were very friendly and attentive. 3 of the 4 bathroom vanity lights in the bathroom were burned out (how is that missed?). Finally, most of pet friendly rooms in ALL (older) HOTELS are former smoking rooms. AND short of new paint, carpet, and furniture you can't get the smell out. This hotel was no exception.

Pet Friendly Rooms were former smoking rooms

Best Western Executive Inn

My first "Rules of the road" with regards to getting what you pay for was invalidated on this hotel. I expected better for $92. First pet friendly room smelled like cigarettes. Second room not as bad but still had the odor of cigarettes. Carpets were filthy: how do I know? My feet were black after walking on them barefooted. I didn't eat breakfast there but judging by the small area for serving it I can't believe it was worthwhile. On the positive the staff was friendly and accommodating, it was very close to restaurants, Starbucks and was easy to get back on the highway. Bottom line: somtimes you just got manage your expectations.

Great Location, Great Staff, Great Value

Holiday Inn Express Little Rock Airport an IHG Hotel

Right off the freeway, wonderful staff. Great breakfast. There was an older black female who was preparing the breakfast. She greeted everyone with big smile and greeting. Made you feel like you were home.

EXCELLENT VALUE

Quality Inn & Suites Albuquerque West

Rules of the road#1: you get what you pay for but in this case you get a bit more. Nice staff, nice and attractive room. 2 pet areas but not much green space. Found some stray cats (well fed) who were lounging in the second pet area. PET OWNERS: pick up after your animal. To leave their droppings is just irresponsible. Wonderful Mexican restaurant within walking distance.

Cheap and simple

Motel 6 Childress TX

My "rules of the road" #1 is you get what you pay for in hotels. This hotel fits that rule perfectly. All rooms are pet friendly, there are no carpets but linoleum (that's good) and the room is spartan in its amenities. (for example no coffee pot) The bed was comfortable, appeared clean. The staff was very friendly. There is a Thai restaurant adjacent to the hotel that was pretty good. There are no designated pet areas. I wouldn't use the grass adjacent to the Thai restaurant so we went around the back of the hotel. Finally the road outside the hotel has got to be one of busiest truck routes in this part of the state. It sounded like an airport twenty four seven. If you're on a budget this is the place. If not pay a little more. You'll be glad you did.

Great Location but a little pricey

Holiday Inn Express White House an IHG Hotel

Rules of the road #1: you get what you pay for. This rule was stretched a bit at this hotel. Don't get me wrong it was clean, roomy, close to the freeway and restaurants. No designated pet areas but there was lots of green areas around and adjacent to the hotel. Having said that I got better value (cost for services) from most other places I staid.

Very Nice, Pet Friendly right off Highway 44

Comfort Inn Midtown

Rule#1: you get what you pay for in hotels. For the price this was a very nice hotel. Staff was very accommodating.
Rule#2: get a ground floor. After driving 6-8 hours NO ONE wants to lug a suitcase, kennel, pups upstairs. Sometimes this is a challenge and may require getting 2 queen beds. Initially staff had no ground floor kings but went the extra effort and made it happen. I learned to call ahead and make the request.
Rule#3: location. If you're using highway 44 it's right there. Downside is this hotel is a little challenging to find. Following my nav system it had me turning into what appeared to be a car dealership but it worked out. Breakfast was good. Lots of restaurants near by. The starbucks was a bit of a drive but actually was easy to get back on track. 2 negatives: the 2 phones in the room didn't work and the TV remote didn't work either.

Great location, clean, comfortable

La Quinta by Wyndham Santa Rosa

If you're going west this is a great location if you don't want to drive the 90 min to Albuquerque.
Rule #1: you get what you pay for in hotels. Great value for the $$ here and they didn't charge a pet fee (contrary to BringFido's review). Great Breakfast. Try Joseph's Bar and Grill just down the street. They have lettuce wraps which are awesome. Draft beer was warm but bottled beer was wonderful. 1 pet area only on the far right side of the hotel and actually had bags. Pet owners pick up you dog's poop please (you give responsible pet owners a bad rep when you leave crap in the pet area).

2 downers for this hotel: Internet reception was poor (and the staff didn't seem to care) and some rooms have no view. I looked at a wall and a exit walkway through my window. However, when you're beat from the road this was a good hotel.
