Pima Canyon Trailhead
The Farm at South MountainThis area was recommended by another dog owner. There is lots of mountain biking, but plenty of trails on a rocky/sandy terrain. Definitely an opportunity for a good long hike or a short walk with the pups.

Beautiful Views, Lots of Trails
South Mountain Park and PreserveThis area is absolutely beautiful. Parking lot, water fountains, and bathrooms are available before you choose any one of several possible trails. Other hikers seemed friendly and there were lots of dogs, all well-behaved. Would absolutely go back! Highly recommend.

Odd Location
Hayden Butte PreserveGranted, the area all around the preserve was under construction, but arriving to the parking lot was unappealing. It felt like a hill in the middle of an industrial complex
. We weren’t able to do it because of the steep incline (too difficult for others with us), but it wasn’t appealing enough to try again another time).
