Great location, but not as pet friendly as I had hoped.

The Courtyard was great as a hotel itself. Clean, friendly staff, great location. But as for a pet friendly location, I was less than impressed. The hotel had only one main entrance and we were placed in a room the furthest down the hall from said entrance. I don't know why we had to pass 13 other rooms and the lobby to take my dog for a walk. It would make more sense to have us closer to the entry to avoid accidents. Also the room advertised a sliding glass door. Being on the first level I had hoped this would go out to the lawn or parking lot for quick potty breaks. But just outside the door was maybe 2 feet of concrete a wall then bushes. Finally I had to walk extensively to find a trash can anywhere in the public space. I barely found one in the Lobby and for pet waste I had to actually leave the premise and go to the Riverwalk to find a bin. The room and hotel was great, just not as pet friendly as I had hoped.
