Clean and quiet room

Hotel was pretty quiet and clean. There wasn't much cut grass for the dog to potty, but enough to work. No poop bags, so have some handy.

Great location

Its a very nice hotel at a decent price. We asked for a quiet room with no one on top of us, and they put us on the 4th floor which was great. Room was clean and nice. Not 5 bones because they don't have a grass area to go potty, it's all rocks.

Great location

We had a nice stay. The door was acting up, but the lady was very friendly and helpful in showing how to get it open. There's a small nice grassy area for pets that has an apple tree with apples. The hotel was busy because of a snow storm, which made it crowded and loud with people above us but not the hotel's fault.

Dog friendly

Dog friendly location, pup allowed on 2 of the 3 trails. People were nice, they ran out of BARK Rangers tags but told us we could call and they'll mail us one.

Dog friendly national park

Its known as one of the most dog friendly national parks. Allowed on trails which is rare especially in Midwest National Parks.
They have B.A.R.K Ranger program too and even have treats for the pups. Wish we had more time to spend there.

Pretty location

Gorgeous location but not very dog friendly

Beautiful park, but dogs not allowed on most trails and big/busy lookout points. It limits what you can do. Big plus is that they are allowed on most paved bike routes.
They have Bark ranger program with tag for sale.

Gorgeous big trees.

In the redwoods part dogs aren't allowed on trails which limits what you can do. They are allowed on 2 roads, Walker and Cal Barrel.

Dogs are allowed on certain beaches as part of the state park side of it.

National Park has bark ranger program.

Decent location

Decent location for what we wanted. People above were loud but not the inn's fault. Main drawback of this hotel is that there's no place to take dog potty - it's all concrete.

Very dog friendly!

We loved our stay here. They are very dog friendly, have a dog park area, left treats, towel, bowl and personalized note on the bed for our pup. We got moonpies as our treats. Walked into the room with lights on and 60s music playing which made it feel more welcoming and fit the theme of the motel. They have some doggy related things in the store area too. They also have a fire pit area right by the dog park area and turned it on for us. Our only complaint is that the people above is were loud and active but that's not the lodge's fault.

Lake Agnes

Lake Agnes hike is dog friendly and the views are beautiful.
Day fee was $9 and road up was a bit rough in car but doable.

Full of history

Unfortunately it was raining most of the time we were there so we couldn't really get out and explore much but the little we did was good. They are dog friendly and have the B.A.R.K Ranger program. Dogs aren't allowed on the USS Cairo but can be around the outskirts. We made turns going through the ship.

Interesting history

We stopped at Tupelo in MS to visit the visitors centre. Dogs not allowed in the center but are allowed on trails. They have the B.A.R.K Ranger program too. We only hiked a short distance, be very careful of ticks. We had 3 on us, the Ranger even warned us that they are horrible this year.

Very dog friendly park

Dogs welcome almost everywhere except in the museum. Lamar bathhouse store allows dogs and love them. We only hiked the peak trail but enjoyed it. Drove up both mountains and spend some time at their Bark ranger celebration event.

Staying in one of their cabins

We loved staying in the one room cabin as we weren't planning on being at the cabin much. Dog friendly, has a little dog park area (some owners didn't pick up but there was bags provided (not KOAs fault)), and lots of activities that we didn't have time for. People were very friendly and helpful at office, would def stay there again. Note: No bathrooms in these particular cabins so use the camp ground ones and have to bring own bedding.

Pretty park with beautiful mossy trees

The park is decent sized with lots of moss covered trees to walk under for shade. Dogs are allowed most everywhere (not in the buildings). The Ranger even had a milkbone for our pup. They have 2 poop stations if you forget bags. B.A.R.K. Ranger program was on hold due to revamping their program, so that was unfortunate timing for us.
Just be aware that ticks can be found, we didn't find any on the dog but one on us.

Very dog friendly NM

They are very dog friendly especially for being a national monument. Dogs allowed everywhere except visitors center and gift shop. Shoreline and trail to lighthouse was closed.

Great historic location

Everyone was very friendly to our pup, they loved her. She could go everywhere that we could go. They do have cannon fire so if your dog is scared of loud noises be aware of the times for that.

Fun stop off I 16. They have poop bag stations at multiple places. A few trails to go hike on.
They also participate in the B.A.R.K Ranger program. Pick up an activity book at the visitor center and earn a tag.

Dog friendly and historical

Dog friendly park, they also have the B.A.R.K Ranger program. The rangers were very friendly. The cave is pretty cool. They had signs up that venomous snakes are frequently spotted on the nature trail so we gave that a skip.

Beautiful falls and pet friendly location

Not only is the falls stunning, the staff at visitors center is very friendly. The visitors center is dog friendly (absolutely love this!) but due to Covid you have to have an appointment. They also do the B.A.R.K Ranger program.

Clean location

Outside looks a little dodgy and had me worried, but the inside was nice. Mostly clean, found some stuff under the desk when we pulled the chair out.
Room location was nice and quiet which we appreciated. The door doesn't seal well, you hear everything that happens outside, but nothing happened except lots of rain.
AC makes a lot of noise and TV remote only worked half the time.
They had a full breakfast and didn't charge us a pet fee.

Full of history

From what we could tell there was 2 dog friendly trails. We hiked before visitors center open so there may be more options available. Get there early it fills up quickly after nine am.

Cute location

Room was clean and big, dated but matched the style of the club house. Room is on the second floor, no elevator. It was nice and quiet since they have only 13 rooms, which was part of the appeal for us. We got there at 9pm they had late check in ready in a mailbox (they seem to close at 8pm). When we booked there was no mention of dog size so they made us an exception since we didn't know. New rule is under 20lbs I think.
Door bolt didnt work, but we found out the door handle doesn't turn without key so no need for bolt.
Overall we are really happy.

Great hotel

Had area for dogs on the grass with poop bags but apparently no one uses it. This isn't the hotels fault, but they do need to cut the grass.
The room was clean and spacious. High ceilings and quiet area which is surprising with highway right next to it.
AC made lots of noise.
And no breakfast due to Covid.

Pretty waterfall

It has a pretty waterfall. We did the short nature trail and it was horribly marked. Overall the park is dog friendly with lots of doggies around.

Pretty location

The lake is pretty and has a pretty board walk. Trails weren't well marked to the point that we didn't know where we were. No trash cans that we saw and no poop bags.

Great park

Rangers at visitors center was very friendly and fed our pup treats while we ran through the little museum. Hiking was good, well marked. Be aware that edge of trail had some poison ivy, easily avoidable but worth a mention. No trash cans at trail head also no poop bags so remember to bring your own.

Great park if you are into history

Dogs aren't allowed in buildings which kinda takes away from the experience. Hiking trails weren't well marked and overgrown. No trash cans or poop bags. There are some trail option though and still unique park to see the mounds.

Random find

This is so random but so cool. We had fun walking around the little village (which was already closed because of winter) and our dog was very interested in this giant bison in front of her. Good spot to stop, stretch legs and see something unique.

Location good

The location is perfect if you are traveling. When we got there and was busy getting out another dog just getting there ran up to ours and scared her. The owner had 2 dogs neither one of them on a leash and no control over them. We put her in the small dog area since there wasn't any dogs in there and she just needed some off leash time. There was trash on the ground, it made me uncomfortable so I kept following her around to make sure she doesn't pick something up. She did have fun playing with the dogs through the fence though.

Wow!

The view at Badlands is simply amazing. Dogs unfortunately aren't allowed on trails but you can drive through the park with them and stop at look out points. They have signs at certain look out points that dogs aren't allowed on the platform so we just stayed in the parking area.

Pretty place

We enjoyed the park a lot. Our dog had fun walking around and saying hey to everybody. All the dogs we saw were on leash. After sundown they turn on the lights, which gives the falls a cool look.

Good place to stretch legs.

This was the perfect spot to take a break and get Liefie out and moving for a bit. The park is well kept and the bridge has the state line between Iowa and Nebraska.

Great view of St Louis

We visited this park solely for the view of St Louis. The fountain wasn't running. Its dog friendly and we even saw another dog there while we were there.

Different perspective on the river

We loved walking across the bridge. It was a quiet day with few people around. Liefie enjoying looking at the river and saying hey to everyone. This isn't something I would make a point to see but if you are in the area and need to stretch your legs this is the perfect spot.

Hidden gem

Medicine Rocks is a pretty place to explore. Not big so not a ton of time needed, unless camping. Paying the fee is on honour system. Keep in mind that there are no trash cans, make sure you have your own poop bags and a place to keep them until you find a trash can somewhere else.

Trail was in good shape with a few other dogs on it as well. Not very long though. We didn't do much else at the park, so not sure about the rest.

Great experience

Park was very clean and there were a lot of people and dogs there later in the morning. Be prepared to have water for your dog and carry poop bags (no trash on the trails except by street). Dog really enjoyed it though.

Fun park but ticks on trails

Outside the ticks we got walking a short trail from campgrounds to visitor center and marsh boardwalk(8 total), its a great park. Dogs can't go in the fenced in area around the lighthouse and other buildings but welcome most everywhere outside and on the beach as long as they are leashed (which almost all we met were). Beach still has the trees south of south beach but you'll want to go at low tide unless you like a challenge. Our dog loved all the people and dogs around.

Easy access to beach

Campsites were pretty flat and decent sized. Bath house was iffy at times with campgrounds being full. Easy access to beach though we had to look for the poop bag stations and no showers at campground access points. Watch out for ticks if you go on hiking trails in the park and may need bug spray if wind is low.

Nice room and quiet

Plenty of grass for potty area, nice rooms, and quiet. Only complaint is lamps seemed a bit dirty still in our room.

Decent hotel for small price

Hotel was prertt clean (headboard was dusty) and pretty quiet. Our sink had a leak, but that should be an easy fix. Someone had their dog off leash to go potty, so we didn't use the dog area but the grass on the side. Looked to be bags in that decent sized area though.

Decent Stay

Room had awkward layout but was clean. Grass had a good bit of litter and no bags, but worked. Lots of options for breakfast (for covid time) though we left before it was ready.

Clean and friendly
