3 1/2 Bones
Travelodge by Wyndham Redding CAVery nice staff. Our first room hadn’t been fully cleaned so we were upgraded to a bigger room. Everything clean and pretty quiet (motel is on a busy road). I choose this motel because I thought it would be a good dog place, but even though it is friendly to dogs there is nowhere safe to walk. The small parking lot is well lighted, but the sidewalk is not and there is only a tiny grassy area. Also there is puncture weed around and I had to pull it out of my dog’s feet every time we went out for a walk. Without a dog it is a fine place to stay. With a dog it is a challenge.
Pros and Cons
Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country PetalumaCons: You have to pay to park in an enormous empty parking lot. No coffee or tea station set up in the morning. They want you to buy from their little Starbucks. No complimentary breakfast. The restaurant has good, but expensive choices. No one knew how to work the sauna. The TV was completely disconnected. Had to get someone to hook it up. No heat on the bathroom - freezing in December.
Pros: Quiet and clean. Free EV charging. A great walking trail through Petaluma Marsh right outside the dog entrance. The dog rooms seem to be together at one end of the hotel. Comfortable, but kind of expensive and several small annoyances.
Nothing bad
Edgewater Inn and SuitesClean, quiet, perfectly fine for dogs and nice staff. Breakfast was granola bars and the coffee was pretty awful. Go to the Starbucks across the parking lot.
Super Friendly
Bayfront InnGreat location, super duper dog friendly, cute as heck, small room but comfy, surprisingly quiet and all around very satisfying. We would stay again with our 2 dogs.
