A substandard Kimpton
Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort an IHG HotelWe frequently stay at Kimptons as we have pets. We have always had very good experiences but this property was an absolute mess. From checking where the valet asked us what he should do with the bags when we unloaded (and told us to go find a cart), to waiting at front desk for several minutes for someone to show up. The bathroom needs a complete redo. There were two threadbare towels, that’s it. No welcome anything for pets which seems to be standard in other hotels. Service was non-existent at the restaurant. Called our car up from valet only to find the car didn’t come. Valet claimed the app was broken. It’s just really not a good property and by the lineup of dissatisfied clients at checkout this morning, fair to say our experience was not the exception. Pass on this one!
Wonderful spot!
Glasbern - A Historic Hotel of AmericaThe staff was lovely and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful as are the common areas. Great walking trails and loads of things to do.
Simply awful
Residence Inn by Marriott Daytona Beach Speedway/AirportWhere to begin? The hotel is in dire need of updating. The carpets in the halls and stairways smell awful. The room we had (which was billed as a superior room) was dark, musty and had the same filthy carpets. The bathroom had an old bathtub with a liner. There are zero amenities: no bathrobe, no safe, no bottled water. Noisy ventilation. The breakfast was equally awful. Food was cold and unappealing. No staff attending to guests. When we called the front desk staff was unresponsive and didn’t care. This property is so overpriced for its below market offerings. There are other options nearby, drive past this one. There literally was not one redeeming feature.
Fabulous stay!
The Charleston PlaceWhat a treat to stay at the premier hotel in Charleston and one that welcomes dogs. The staff from the bellman to the valet to the front desk experience was friendly and professional. It this was our first time in Charleston but won’t be our last and the only hotel at which we will stay. Thank you!
Dismal
Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport North Cruise PortLet’s start with the positive: the staff is wonderful. The property, however, is grim. Hallways are dirty. Carpets in rooms are threadbare. Rooms smell musty. Bathrooms are dated, I would expect the Motel 6 is more upscale. The hotel is in a dangerous neighborhood. It is, hands down, the worst property I have stayed in. Next time I would sleep in my car.
