Bad for dogs
Hampton Inn Grand JunctionDo not stay here with dogs. There is no place to potty them. They put you on the third floor with only a tiny elevator as access (REALLY do not stay here with reactive dogs). Homeless people prowl the "private" parking lot and break into vehicles (we witnessed this, but it was 10 pm and too late to change hotels.) The keyless entry didn't work. So disappointed, as several other Hampton stays have been top notch. Oh and the room is tiny, with sub-standard linens, lumpy pillows, etc.

Exceptional
Hampton Inn LaramieJuly 2021. It’s hard to find great pet friendly places. This was our first stay at a Hampton Inn and it was fabulous. Clean, quiet, functional with a dorm fridge that was cold and had a functional freezer. Friendly staff and decent amount of space to potty pups. We were so impressed we changed our reservation for the next night to stay in Wells, NV instead of Wendover, where the BW+ abuts a trailer park with aggressive dogs that come down in packs to harass guest dogs. Thanks, Hampton/Hilton and keep it up! (PS many/most Hamptons do NOT allow pets so double check.)

Great location, a little disappointing
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Denver Boulder-LouisvilleThe rooms had laminate floors, which is awesome for keeping clean—but not great for senior dogs who slip. There was a fire alarm at 9 am (false alarm though it still caused an evacuation) but the alarm didn’t sound in my 86 year old disabled dad’s room. Also, we had checked the box that noted her would need assistance in the event of an emergency, but no one came to check on him. The sink was also broken in his room. The breakfast was very meager and all packaged, processed food (even and fruit was a fruit cup in syrup.) That said, there is a TON of well-maintained grass and the hotel is next to a bikeway for walking. It’s also very easy to get to Boulder or Denver from the location, and Louisville/Superior has a ton of great places to eat.
