Very nice
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Liberal an IHG HotelModern, clean, friendly, great breakfast. Just watch the demand pricing. Cheaper rates early in the day. Ours went up $20 because I had bad internet connection and couldn't finish reservation. Next time I tried, price went up.

Filthy
Buck Fund Dog ParkDirtiest dog park I have ever seen. Dog poop was everywhere! The few people who picked up their poop left the bags around the base of a tree. Sure, the trash can was outside the fence, but not hard to see! Something very wrong with the dog park culture here.

Adequate
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Kansas City LenexaThe hotel was OK. Grounds were messy. Room needs soundproofing. Renovations seemed to be an amateurs low cost DIY project. Cleanliness was adequate, but not what I'm used to with this chain. Breakfast was very good. I sympathize with hotel owners trying to improve an older property like this one, but this hotel needs some work. However, the price was good, they allowed dogs, and they had a king size bed. Met minimum requirements.

Nice Hotel
Adobe Inn DurangoNice hotel, good location. The room had plenty of space plus a small kitchenette. My only problem was the heater than was very loud and ran off and on and off and on every ten minutes all night long which made it hard to sleep. (In other hotels the same brand heater would keep the fan running so it wasn't as drastic a noise when the heat kicked in.)

I would have driven off if I hadn't prepaid
Budget InnThis is an older property which has had a few updates, but looked marginal. Since we prepaid, I was skeptical and asked to see a room first. It was clean enough, but the upholstered chair was very stained (and triggered all kind of things in my imagination). Then I was told that room was too nice and not a dog room. Actually the dog room, without upholstered furniture, looked much better. Bed, TV and shower worked, fine, but if I had been alone I would not have felt safe in the hotel or the neighborhood.

Very nice hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham Las Cruces Organ MountainWe were given a room on the first floor hear the side door to take the dog outside. Nice room, nice breakfast. Everything was fine. (There were some homeless people living next to the doggie yard, but they were no problem.)

More than adequate
Motel 6 Twentynine Palms CAAll I want is a good bed and shower in a place that allows my dog. This place was perfect. Nothing fancy, but very much more than adequate. BBQ restaurant down the street was really good. Denny's for breakfast had the best staff I've ever seen. Made breakfast fun!

Better than expected
Super 8 by Wyndham Topeka/Wanamaker RD/I-70This was a very nice Super 8 - better than average. Good room, good bed, good shower. Nice staff, good breakfast. Perfect.
