Mostly good
Cayucos Beach InnThe hotel was very dog friendly, the staff was helpful and accommodating, and the room was spacious and clean. Good location a short walk from a dog-friendly beach. But considering how pricey our room was, there was some unexpected skimping. My bath towel was frayed and actually had holes in it, and the breakfast was pathetic: there were a few prepackaged sweet rolls and little muffins, and the one I selected was stale. The only other offerings were green bananas, miniature apples, coffee and cocoa. No yogurt, no eggs of any type, no waffles, toast, or bagels. Skip the breakfast and go across the street to the Sea Shanty Cafe.
Perfect for dogs
SureStay Hotel by Best Western CamarilloWe had a very pleasant overnight stay here at the end of our road trip. Dogs are very welcome. Spacious, clean room, comfy beds, nice shower, good restaurants very close by (we loved Yolanda's Mexican Cafe). Great staff and nice free breakfast. I'm sure we'll be back.
Beautiful and Cozy
Sea Otter InnOur room was comfortable and fresh, and the included breakfast was truly delicious! Sadly much of the boardwalk was closed for reconstruction, but our dogs loved walking on the section that was still open.
