Pet rooms are the worst rooms

The hotel initially seemed nice. When we walked into our first room it smelt horrible and I can’t even describe it. It was a musty smell with a hint of cat urine. The front desk clerk was accommodating and moved us to another room. It smelt okay compared to the other room but after walking out and walking back into the room after a few minutes it had the strong smell of mildew. Later I noticed water damage at the bottom of the bathroom door. My wife and I debated for several minutes about finding different lodging but pet friendly and reasonably priced pet friendly hotels are hard to get at the last minute. There was also sketchy people that loiter around the property. I told the desk clerk about one that was walking around vehicles shaking spray paint cans and she said he was just waiting on a ride. He was out there for at least 2 more hours wandering around the parking lot. Would not recommend.
