Best dog friendly place to stay

Inn at Cannon Beach

This is a wonderful place to say if you are travelling with a dog. It's located a short walk from the best part of Cannon Beach - where you enter is a nice walk to Haystack Rock or if you go in the other direction it's a nice walk to other points of interest. They add a lot of nice and welcoming touches for dogs - a bag of milk bones, water bowl, and towels are provided. The staff and super friendly and nice. There are many places with patios to eat at nearby. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

Hidden fees and no housekeeping

Hotel DeLuxe

As others have noted, this hotel doesn't have any green space for dogs mostly due to it being located on a city block. It was our first stay in Portland with a dog and I would say that downtown in general is not a great place to stay with a pet as there are few green spaces. Also, they are not providing housekeeping services for short stays even though they charge $25/day for a 'guest amenity fee.' We were there 3 nights and I'm not sure how long you have to stay to warrant housekeeping. All this to say, there are a lot of added charges: parking ($35/day), guest amenity fee ($25/day) and pet fee ($50/stay).As a hotel it's fine, but as a place to stay with your dog I'd say it's not that great.

Great dog friendly patio

Kettle River Brewing Co

Really dog friendly place with excellent beer and appetizer/snack food. Water bowl for dogs, shaded and free cookies. Loved it!
