Overnight stay

We stayed here for one night in a queen studio suite and it was great. Well set up rooms, convenient with a microwave and sink. Check in was simple. breakfast to go was available. Really nice staff. Lots of grass nearby. We recommend it.

Very pet friendly with a view

We stayed here for two nights in a Mountain View king room with our dog. The view is completely worth the extra $20! Large room. Comfy bed. Great shower. We ate from the restaurant both nights as you are able to sit on the patio with your pooch. Food was pretty good. Plenty of on-site parking. Staff are lovely. Very close to park entrance. Would definitely stay again.

Cheese Sandwich!!!

Amazing place. Probably the best cheese sandwich of our life! We also had a shake and they made a side of bacon for our pup!

Super Pet Friendly

We stayed here for one night. It was convenient, clean and in a great location. Check in was easy. Very pet friendly (has its own dog run). Super quiet room. Close by to everything. The staff were great and there is parking on site for $7. Would definitely stay again.

A Real Find!

We stayed at Sundogs B&B for two nights for a much needed break from the city. Peggy and David are very welcoming. David was waiting when we arrived to show us to our room which was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. The house is amazing with both indoor and outdoor areas to relax and enjoy the view. The property is nestled amongst the trees with numerous walking paths around the property.
Breakfast was delicious on both days and enjoyed outside. Maggie our dog was welcome and loved walking all over the property. Lots to see and do in the towns close by. Already planning out next stay.

New Years Eve

We stayed here with our dog on New Years Eve. We were just passing through. We stayed in a king studio on the ground floor (128). The room was great and right next to the exit for easy access. The trade off for this is that people traverse through the door all evening and the door is not soft closing. It didn’t bother us, but occasionally made our dog bark briefly, which we were concerned would bother others.

Of note, it was raining and the rain gutters outside the room windows are quite noisy with the run off hitting the drain coverings between the ground and first floor. Again, not an issue for us but could be for light sleepers.

The room was great otherwise. Comfy bed, large shower, clean and spacious. The concierge staff are really friendly, easy check in and check out. Hot breakfast to go available. We only had bagels but the lady who prepared them was lovely also. As per other comments, $100 pet fee regardless of length of stay. Again, happy to pay to stay with our dog in a nice place, which this was. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly Vibe

We were turned onto Best Western Plus hotels through this app. Once again the recommendation has not let us down. We stayed here for one night while traveling from Tucson to San Antonio and it was awesome!

Perfect location. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was immaculate and very dog friendly (including a private dog run on-site). Whilst complying with all Covid protocols, the hotel still managed to make the place feel welcoming with small touches such as complementary dinner and breakfast. Our room was great (120). Large, pet-friendly with separate sitting area and super comfy bed. Would definitely stay again.

Pet Family Friendly!

Great location, close to fisherman’s wharf with a comfy bed and huge shower. Room was very quiet (533). The staff were awesome, quick check in and out. Very pet friendly. All COVID protocols followed.
Lots of take out food options close by. Would definitely stay again!

Oasis

We stayed here for one night and it was perfect!
Super easy check in (drive through).
Really friendly staff.
Large rooms, modern, clean. Comfy bed and pillows.
Dog relief area and some amazing art to see on the premises.
Complimentary breakfast including warm oats.
A great find, would definitely stay again.

So Friendly!

We ate here with our dog at an outdoor dining table and it was fantastic!
We can recommend the spicy omelette and the thick cut bacon and eggs.
They even prepared a chicken breast for our dog.
Really friendly staff, great atmosphere and reasonably priced.

We Loved This Place!

We stayed in room 281 and it was perfect. Great ocean view, close to everything and huge.
We ate from the restaurant (take away) and the food was tasty.
Peaceful, relaxed vibe. Very pet friendly. Wished we had stayed longer.

A Lucky Find!

We stumbled across this place and were not disappointed.
We had the Pad Thai and Eggnog pancakes. Both were amazing. Huge portions.
Fantastic food, great service and pet friendly to boot! located next door to a dog boutique and bakery.

Lunch In A Snowstorm

We ate here for lunch on a Tuesday (in the middle of a snow storm).
We had the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Waffle and the Florentine Waffle.
We also had the Nutella hot chocolate and hot cider.
Everything we had was delicious. Fresh, tasty food. Fast and helpful service.
Dog friendly on the patio outside. Outdoor heaters kept us cosy. They didn’t mind us ordering a side for our pup. Maggie had the chicken tenders.
Would definitely return.

Worth The Wait!

We ate here with our dog. The food was great. Highly recommend the banana pudding too.
Patio seating was ample and my husband could go inside to order, so no issues there.
My only comment would be that there is no heating under the patio, so would recommend rugging up!

This Place Is Great!

We ate here on Saturday morning for brunch. We had the avocado eggs and the big breakfast. Both of which were delicious. Coffee was really good too.
Fresh, tasty food. Amazing service. Everyone was super friendly.
Also dog friendly on the patio outside. Outdoor heaters kept us cosy. They didn’t mind us ordering a side for our pup.

So Much More!

We stayed here for one night, really only hoping for a pet tolerant place to sleep.

We found so much more!

Concierge and staff are super nice. Very smooth check in and check out.

The room was great. Exceptionally clean. Towels and linens were super soft. Bed was very comfy and the room was nice and dark.

They are very pet welcoming, bringing water and happy for us to eat from the restaurant (Graze on Main), just at an outdoor table with our dog. The food was amazing. They even prepared a meal for the dog!

As for COVID protocols, we felt very safe. Masks, sanitizer, social distancing, take away/outdoor meals and in addition to the room, the hotel and grounds are immaculate.

No wonder this place is no. 1 in town and deservedly so. A really welcoming experience and a place we would detour for to stay again.

Pup Paradise

We stayed in the pet friendly chestnut lodge (room 504).

Everywhere in the facility is pet friendly except for the Harvest Restaurant which was great for us. They even let us include our dog in the Thanksgiving family photo.

The food was good. Staff were exceptional.

The walking trails are amazing even for small dogs.

Most people wore masks and respected social distancing.

The only fault was the cleanliness of the room. Disappointed to be charged a pet cleaning fee only to find a particularly gross tissue beside the bed.

Overall a lovely stay. A great break from the city for us and the pup!
