Out of the way location
La Quinta by Wyndham Tyler SouthHotel wasn't conveniently located but everything and everybody was nice. Would love to have had a first floor accommodations due to my wife being handicapped but there was a elevator. Restaurants not close by but still was a nice hotel.

Horrible stay
Royal Holiday MotelHotel was very old and seemed to be in not a very good part of town. The only thing good I can say about this hotel is the room was a nice size. Bathroom was filthy and ceiling was falling in. Hair, etc., left in tub from previous occupant. No good place to walk or let your pups use the bathroom. Office smelled horrible. Lady at the front desk was nice however but this hotel needs to be torn down or serious money for upgrades.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Clinton JacksonFirst we were greeted with a "we don't have you with a reservation" but once we showed our paperwork they all of a sudden found us. Second our 12 pound Yorkie/Poo dog was sick and lethargic the entire time we were there(1 1/2 days). He kept begging us to take him outside and when we did he was fine but the minute we took him back in the room he reverted back to sick and lethargic. We finally decided we would not stay the 2nd night because of him. We went to check out and were over charged for our pup. That wasn't too bad except the attitude of "I don't care what you paid this is what you are going to pay" is what disturbed me the most. We had a copy of their current policy and pet price which was $15.00 a night per pet. We were also accused of "well maybe you have 2 dogs" for an answer of the extra charge. It's not the money...it's the treatment and the attitude. With this being said...the ONLY thing good about this hotel was it's location. Directly behind and within walking distance of an Applebee's and a local restaurant. Won't be staying here again...we didn't like how we were treated as guest and our dog obviously didn't like the kind of chemicals they were using for sanitation (you could smell it on his fur). Do yourselves a favor and your Pup's...don't stay here!
