Would not recommend.
Motel 6 Altoona IA - Des Moines EastI am not sure how this ever rated any bones. Although the people were friendly, the room was very outdated and in need of some tender loving care. It is located behind a gas station and right off the express way. After checking in we found none of the doors to the outside were locked. (any one can just walk in) Trash container outside had not been emptied so it was overflowing. My sister and I left to find another hotel. I called to tell them that we left because we did not feel safe. There was no offer to refund my money. And she seemed shocked that I was concerned that the doors to the outside were not locked. I would think that the safety of your guests would be top priority.
