Horrible!!!!
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham StocktonAfter driving 12 hours, I was looking forward to my stay at La Quinta. I have recently stayed in several La Quinta‘s throughout the west and was extremely satisfied with the properties. I assumed all La Quinta‘s were similar however, this property was absolutely disappointing. When you enter the lobby, it looks like a vacant building. They probably removed everything so to make it as ‘Covidly’ uncomfortable as possible. When I drove around to my room, I noticed the building looked dirty overall, there were a lot of people milling around and I felt that I needed to use situational awareness if you know what I mean. I open the room to my door and was hit with the over-the-top smell of air fresheners which was completely unbearable. The carpet was old the beds were nothing like any other La Quinta I’d been to. I walked into the bathroom and my shoes were sticking to the tile and I noted dust all around the baseboards, grime and body hairs. The bathrooms were probably at least 30 years old. My $100 room did not include a microwave or mini fridge nor coffee. The property chose to completely annihilate any kind of breakfast service, including a simple to go as many other hotels do. The noise from the freeway was a 9 out of 10. I did not feel comfortable in any way, even with my German Shepherd by my side. I was able to get out of my reservation and I pushed south on my journey another 45 minutes to an incredibly awesome best Western in Patterson - for the same price - which I will review next.
