Great for Pups
Days Inn by Wyndham LonokeLet me start by saying this is not a 4-star hotel. Everything is basic. I’d say 2-3 star, frankly. However, it did have many nice amenities. There was a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot. The furnished breakfast was quite good. The staff were almost friendly to a fault! From the standpoint of a dog-friendly hotel, however, this is just about the very very best I have experienced. The rooms are ground floor, with rooms opening to the outside. Pet relief areas are everywhere. There is no carpeting (which I appreciate regardless of whether I’m traveling with a pet). All-in-all, this ranks as among the best, if not THE best pet friendly hotel at which I have stayed. I would gladly plan my trip around a stay here if I’m ever again in the area. It’s just THAT good.

Everything Great
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Amarillo I-40 West TXVery lovely hotel. Very nice and large pet walking area. Breakfast was simple but superb.

Great Experience
Super 8 by Wyndham ZanesvilleLocation was great. No carpeting which I always consider a huge plus with or without a pet. Breakfast was simple, but delicious (some hot sauce would’ve been nice though 😀)

Excellent Experience
The Academy Hotel Colorado SpringsMy wife and I stayed for one night with one small dog. The check-in was a breeze, and we got a second floor room. A major plus is that the floors were hard laminate, so we didn’t have to worry about what might be lurking in a carpet. The room was clean, quiet, and well-stocked with Keurig cups. The room was very quiet and all three of us slept very well. The (free) breakfast was very good, with eggs and omelettes made to order. Although there were quite a few people at the breakfast, the staff was very well organized and efficient. I really wish more hotels still did breakfasts like this. One very minor downside was that since we arrived long after dark, and needed to potty the dog, it was hard to find a grassy area. Frankly, it’s places like this one that make me hesitate to award top scores to hotels. A five bone rating should be reserved only for hotels that live up to the level of service of this one. I’ll definitely stay here again, and I have already recommended it to friends and family.

Everything Excellent
Comfort Suites Gallup East Route 66 and I-40Stopped here on a cross-country move on 19 January . Lots of places to walk a dog. Room was big enough for the dogs to get rid of extra energy. I had a problem with my reservation, and the manager here was bend-over-backwards helpful and extremely friendly while fixing the issue. This was a superbly great lodging experience with our dogs, and I can’t recommend it enough. Unhesitatingly 5 bones.
