Almost like home
Sonesta ES Suites Cleveland AirportThis is the second Sonata ES (extended stay) that we've used. The layouts are identical, and quite comfortable. The beds were very good for my humans. The floor had a rug on parts of it that made it comfortable for me. There is a nice gas fireplace that was good to warm up when we came in from the outside. Breakfast (because of COVID) was "doggie bags" with egg and sausage sandwiches. My people gave me some of their sausage, and it was really, really good! The units are like small homes, one stacked on top of another, but when dogs like me are in the group, we always seem to get a ground-floor unit. There is lots of nice green grass right outside the room, which is good for me.
I and my humans highly recommend this place.

Odd mixed bag
Sonesta ES Suites Cleveland WestlakeWhen we pulled in a 8pm the desk clerk told us that they had a gas leak problem so that there was no heat or hot water. It was a cool but not cold evening, so we took the room. They gave it to us for free, which I thought was a good response to the situation. We actually heated it by turning on the electric oven. The room is somewhat shabby. A folding door fell off of a closet as we opened it. There was only one coffee mug in the room. It just feels kind of old and worn out. Very spacious room, though. Also, the "fireplace" has a hookup for a gas log, but there's nothing in there at all.
super accomodations
The Westin Great Southern ColumbusThis is a high-end hotel in Downtown Columbus, and it is very posh and in nice. Drive up to valet parking, unload stuff onto a valet's cart, and he meets you in the room with it. Good menu for room service in COVID times. All in all, a top rate experience.
Smooth and easy
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Amarillo I-40 West TXeverything went very smoothly. Just what we needed in a long cross-country trip.
