Dangerous
Driftwood BeachNot only is there grey clay mixed with sand, there are oyster beds on rocks that get hidden by tide. My dog got his paws and legs shredded. The closest vet is 30 minutes and not available. This is too dangerous even on leash.

Not great
J.TailsIt ruined my plans because they called me to pick him up for his separation anxiety. He was trying to jump their short fences. The staff were rude from beginning. We used in home and that was good but he didn’t like all the walkers.

Fun time
Love My Dog Resort and Playground DowntownHe loves coming in here. They have wrap around fencing so I don’t have to worry about him escaping. All staff are great.

Camping
Henry Cowell Redwoods State ParkMy dog had a good time camping in the quiet mountain spot. There are many trees in between spots so you get privacy. We did not get to hike much because most trails do not allow dogs (too narrow I think). Be sure to get the names of trails before arriving or from a ranger. There is NO cell service to search trail names once there. Camping area is separate entrance 1/2 mile down road. It got below freezing March 1st.

Boring
Depot ParkIt is just cement sidewalks. This is the most popular spot for humans to hang but not worth bringing a dog to unless you have no yard or sidewalk.

Clean and great A/C
Motel 6 Elk City OKIt was clean and staff were friendly. I couldn’t have anything done about excess noise. There were 10 small kids playing in hall the entire night so my dog kept barking. Two rooms had their door open all night and people coming and going from kids rooms (creepy?) I was woken every hour. Stay far away from lobby if you stay here. They are big dog friendly. There’s huge grassy fields.

Luxurious room
Bayside HotelThe room was super clean and luxurious. It is small but enough for my big dog. This is a prime location right on the beach and grassy Santa Monica park. Great price (I used to live in S.M.). Check in was less than five minutes. Very safe with keycard garden gate. No problems parking but must leave lot by 2pm.

Saratoga Creek Dog ParkThis is a huge dog park. My big dog had tons of room to play fetch. It is off leash hence the name dog park. All the dogs big and small get along and people here are watchful. I have seen psycho unfriendly small dogs on leash inside but their jerk owners left quickly. There is an open area outside the fence people let dogs play too if they do not like inside. Parking is 300 yards away but people do not mind your dog being off leash walking to gate.

Great location
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Antonio Market SquareVery clean rooms. Dog walk area is just three 2x3 feet wide areas between shrubs. Too small for any dog. However, Riverwalk is within walking distance. Parking is right in front of door. Felt safe staying there.
