Can’t get any closer to the water!
Sea Vista MotelThe views of the Atlantic Ocean from your room deck cannot be topped! Each deck is private, meaning fully walled off from the rooms on either side of you. This makes it a very peaceful experience to enjoy the rocking chairs. Lots of accommodations for dogs, including poo bags and trash cans, well-labeled areas for walking your dog, etc. Like the other review mentioned, maybe not the most updated rooms, but still clean and comfortable and has all that you need (including a few dishes, microwave and dish soap). Very peaceful stay towards the southern end of TI.

Lovely updates
Cape Pines MotelYou can tell that the owners and staff really care about making this a great stay. There is the cute charm of this vintage brick motel, and the interior of the rooms have been updated to make your stay quite comfortable. I appreciated the little decorations in the room like beautiful bedspreads and a few artificial plants. When you are on the road for a while, just having these homey elements can bring a lot of comfort.
For dogs, there is a fenced yard in the back - it is quite spacious and well kept (meaning you don’t have to dodge poop everywhere). Looks like a great place for families too with picnic tables, horseshoes and a well landscaped pool out front. Highly recommend the Cape Pines Motel in Buxton!

Great location
Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks/Kitty HawkWe enjoyed having a first floor room with a patio that opened out directly to the pet area, which was also very close to the beach. Great amenities and helpful friendly staff. Directly on the Kitty Hawk Pier for beautiful views. Next time we’ll take advantage of the outdoor pool.

Beautiful view
The Inn at Corolla LightWe had a very short overnight stay here, but we were taken care of. There was an issue with our after-hours check in (that we called ahead about), but the night manager (I believe his name was Mark) quickly responded and assisted us. It can be a little bit tricky to find your way to your room with several ramps and sections to the historic building, but there is a nice green courtyard for the dogs. We wished we were staying long to enjoy use of the pools and to walk along the sound. A nice peaceful stay in Corolla.

Spacious green spaces
Island Inn of Atlantic BeachWhen you first arrive, you might think that there is only one pet relief area, since this is a motel with many rooms right off the main drag of Atlantic Beach. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many green grassy areas to walk my dog. They were very peaceful and tucked away from the busier road. The room was very clean, quite large, and had many convenient amenities, all the while being decorated in a lovely way. This was a relaxing stay after being on the road for many days. Highly recommend!

In the heart of Ocracoke
The Anchorage Inn and MarinaThis was a comfortable stay near several restaurants, shops, and sights of Ocracoke. There are a lot of walkable streets for longer walks (though busy with other pedestrians, bicycles, and golf carts). The room was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the harbor.

Comfortable and accommodating
Hotel Grand VictorianWe enjoyed our stay and our dogs did too. We appreciated being given a room on the first floor right by the outside door. All in all, a satisfying stay.

Gets the job done but..
Quality Inn & Suites HannibalThere was an issue with the first room they gave us, and the front desk staff was very understanding and quickly moved us to the room next door. The next room was overall fine, but maybe hadn’t been used in a while - bathroom counter was dusty and the carpets had large debris pieces (like when a vacuum can pick up the small things, but spits back out the larger things). The cleaning woman was very nice the next morning as we were checking out. Beds were comfortable, and the place was quiet. We would stay here again in a pinch, but would maybe do our own quick wipe down/tidy up upon arrival. (I know it’s COVID time and staff has probably been overworked.)

Clean and comfortable
Quality Inn & Suites Fort Madison Near Hwy 61Simple room, and very clean and comfortable. They weren’t able to accommodate us on the first floor, but made sure we had a room by the door on the second floor, which was helpful. Lots of green space on the perimeter in the back and on the side for walking our small dogs.
