I am a retired attorney who takes her three (3) four legged family members with her on frequent trips all over North America. I have two standard poodles -- Lulu and Lola -- and a chiweenie, Romeo. My dogs are used to traveling and staying in hotels all over North America. It is hard to find nice hotels who will take the standard poodles and/or three dogs. I will report the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans was one of our best pet friendly luxury hotel experiences ever -- but when the Four Points Sheraton on Boston's North Shore completes its renovation -- Hotel Monteleone may have some competition due to handy and convenient pet facilities.

Downhill in 1.5 years!

Four Points by Sheraton Wakefield Boston Hotel & Conference Center

About 1.5 years ago I was at this very same hotel and had a positive experience with the same dogs. Frankly I was looking forward to staying again. Don’t know if they had a change in management but things could not have been more opposite!! The room was dirty with not enough towels— I saw maid in hall and asked for extra towels and washcloths and she told me the linen company had failed to deliver, so no washcloths. That was the only time I saw the maid although her cart was outside a room literally all day, she did not clean our room. The room was hot and there was no way to adjust the temperature— the guests in the next room had the same complaint. We wanted to extend stay and was told they had lots of vacancies, but couldn't book. The room did not have enough electrical outlets so had to go without lights In order to charge phone. The staff was not friendly or helpful but they sure collected the pet fees!! I cannot recommend this hotel.

Not clean but expensive!

Sonesta ES Suites Burlington Boston

The property generally was not clean from hallway and elevator carpets to bathroom. The breakfast was nasty, coffee was terrible. For the money I expected better.

Great Location

La Quinta by Wyndham Niagara Falls

There are nice spaces to walk dog. The hotel was new and clean. No rooms on the ground floor but the receptionist put all guests with pets close to doors to outside.

Great Location

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Columbus Airport Area

This is an older La Quinta which houses people in need of shelter in a funky part of Columbus. But the room was clean, no hassle with my dogs, and the lady at reception a rare wonderful jewel.

Clean, Convenient and Pet Friendly

Comfort Inn White River Junction

This is a newer motel and the staff was friendly. Very clean and convenient -- good parking. Dogs were happy!

Best Overall Hotel Experience Yet

ARRIVE Memphis

After an embattled three days of traveling with bad weather and car sick dogs, BringFido, directed me to ARRIVE in Memphis -- I saw it had a downtown address and was dubious. I have three dogs that travel with me -- two standard poodles (over 70 lbs.) and a chiweenie. It is not common to find welcoming hotels -- never mind glamorous hotels -- I usually have to settle on a less attractive motel chain. This was such a pleasant experience from arrival to departure. First ARRIVE is located in an area which at first blush is funky but filled with amazing restaurants, clubs and unique shops -- walking distance to Beale Street -- and close to a well fitted and clean dog park. My four legged babies were treated by the entire hotel staff like the royalty I believe they are. ARRIVE is a fun place even without dogs -- great hotel, will be back!
