Just don't!

Loews Vanderbilt Hotel

I was looking for a hotel that was pet-friendly, not just pet tolerant for a week in Nashville. The Lowe's website makes it seem the perfect choice. I had not stayed at a Lowe's before but thought I'd give it a try. They have the worst communication and customer service. We called several times to ensure our big dogs were welcome and that we were on the pet friendly floors. It was in the notes on our reservation. Guess what? Yep, they didn't have it.
We have not traveled much due to pandemic but we have been to a few other places. All were very clear upon making reservations about what amenities were and were not available, Not so here. Be prepared to be underwhelmed by the level of 'love' Lowes has for your pet. No treats, no pet beds (glad we brought our own), no leashes or special pet menu. Green space means the little piece of grass next to the driveway. No pet sitting numbers or walking maps or suggestions for places that are pet friendly although you will sign a paper saying you received it. The special pet menu is discontinued due to pandemic, which I get, but would have liked that info up front.
To top it off, we were informed by note shoved under our door at 8pm on our 4th night that the water was to be shut off from 10pm to 6am for valve mainainance? How do you not mention that little tidbit at check in?
We have tried to speak to anyone with any level of authority and no response. Pre pandemic I was downtown Chicago often and wondered about the Lowes but I will keep with Kimpton. Not only not so pet friendly but not so people friendly either.
