Great pet-friendly spot

In an area where it is difficult to find a pet friendly place to stay, this was perfect. We could walk to town and enjoyed being able to sit on the porch with Maverick while sipping wine (only water for Maverick). Just be aware that the walls are a bit thin and it is a small inn but the owner, Yvette, is great. Great place and fit what we were looking for.

Great beer and great dog lovers!

Tobermory Brewing Company & Grill

As we sit here finishing our beers after noshing on soft pretzels with cheese and mustard, Maverick is getting loads of attention from the staff. Bowls of water were waiting on the covered deck and two golden retrievers were already enjoying the day with their people. Maverick loved the attention and the staff loved the "Golden Explosion" on the deck.

Great food, low key off Main Street

Kingston Kitchen at the Village Inn

Maverick loved laying in the shade and watching the horses trot by. Staff was very friendly and brought him a bowl of water. Food was great!

Very pet friendly

Tarpon Bay Explorers

We stopped by the gift shop so many times that Maverick knew where the treats were stored. By the day we rented the pontoon boat, he was "old friends" with several of the employees. We rented a pontoon boat for a full day on the bay. Of course, Maverick was welcome to go. He enjoyed watching the birds, especially watching pelicans fishing.

Fun for the whole family!

New Wave Eco Charters

We took a half day tour with Steve. He asked us what we were interested in seeing and made sure our dog felt welcome. He even carried our golden retriever to and from shore when we docked off Cayo Costa to do some shelling. We saw everything we had asked for too!

Great dog park!

Storey Bark Park

This has been the best dog park by far on our road trip. Our dog loved playing with the other dogs and the owners were really nice. Plenty of space to run and lots of balls to play with. One warning is that if your dog loves water, there are two tubs filled with water that some of the dogs like to lay in. Just expect that you will have a wet dog.

Great place, treats for all

Great motel with a small dog run. We were greeted with treats in the room for our dog as well as for us.

Outside and Inside entrance

Best Western Plus Yukon

Great room for bringing our puppy. One door to the room was directly to the outside so easy to take him directly out. Another door was to an inside hallway which was great for us to get breakfast.

Nice for travelers. No permit required.

Bark Park at H.P. Thomas Park

This was a great quick stop for Maverick to burn off some energy. The large dog area is huge (I think that is why a couple small dogs were in there). Very well kept park and agility obstacles for your dog to play on.

Quiet place for the whole family

Historic Wigwam Village No. 2

This is a unique place to stay and is very dog friendly. The new owners have been renovating each of the "tipis" and give you a history of the place when you check-in. Not luxurious but a wonderful experience.

Double Dogs

Great place for pups and their humans! Maverick received loads of attention, plus a bowl of water and a bandana. Food and service was outstanding. A must stop for a meal if you are in the area.
