Perfect for dog guests
Courtyard by Marriott WacoFirst of all, it’s nice for humans. There’s a huge green lawn behind the hotel and lots of green space and walkways up and down the river, which is just across the street. The hotel allows well-behaved dogs to stay in the room unattended. Couldn’t ask for a better hotel while traveling with our dog. Lastly, the check-in clerk was very polite and accommodating.

We liked it
Caboose MotelCute, fairly spacious room. Many thanks to the management for letting us check in 2.5 hours early! Minus one bone rating for being right on the highway with no good place to walk the dog except on the motel grounds.

Lovely Inn
Inn on La Loma PlazaThe Inn at La Loma Plaza is off the beaten Taos path and is a hidden gem. Fabulous breakfast included. For dogs, there is a large yard stocked with poo bags and a can for them. They will also supply dog beds, but we'd brought their crates, so didn't need anything. The Inn is within an easy walk of the Taos Plaza, but out of the crowds. We'll go again.
