Best dog-friendly restaurant in the area
The Harbour GrilleWe enjoy the Harbour Grille as a place with excellent food, excellent service, and a fantastic location. The outdoor area backs to the docks with yachts on the Occoquan River. However, what makes this place particularly special for us is how dog friendly they are. They readily welcome dogs in the restaurant, and typically there are other diners with their dogs there as well. Other diners are used to this and often come up to ask if they and their dog can say hello. This our go-to restaurant when out with our dog.

Friendly staff, but room less than ideal
Red Roof Inn Virginia Beach Norfolk AirportThe room could have been cleaner and there were no convenient outlooks for doing work on a laptop. However, check in and check out was easy, and they are indeed very pet friendly. I would return if in the area again.
