Share your love of history with your dog

Tuzigoot National Monument

I'm guessing this site is highly underrated due to the lack of visitors during our visit. It was hot so I checked the sidewalks to see if it was too hot for paws but it was not bad. The walk is a little steep if you or your dog have issues with that, especially in the heat. However, the walk is relatively short and the site relatively small. Nice ruins that reminded me of Inca ruins in Peru. Great views of the valley as well. Next to the visitor center are shaded areas and picnic tables to hang out with your pup.

Locals only - locked entrance

Sedona Dog Park

This is a warning to all non-locals trying to use the dog park. The gate has a lock so you are not able to enter without the code. There was not an option to pay for day use, which I would have gladly done. Seems like a great park for locals who know the code, just don't waste your time if you're not local. Next to the park is a hiking trail which we enjoyed instead. The parking lot is small though and has a 1 hour limit so don't wander for too long on the trail.

Great patio for people and pups

Sedona Pizza Company

Patio is shaded and has a mister for when it's hot, which was very welcome. There is a dog menu and they will bring a bowl of water as well. Fair warning that this is tourist food at tourist prices but was a very welcome respite.
