Twin peaks awesome, BringFido not
Twin Peaks Lodge & Hot SpringsWas traveling in the mountains without a signal and a message was left in my email and cell voice mail 10am day of my reservation that the Twin Peaks lodge had overbooked pet rooms and didn’t have one left for me! Not knowing this since I hadn’t gotten the messages due to lack of cell and driving for hours, I arrived to check in and kiosk wouldn’t allow it once I’d said yes to traveling with pet, so person behind desk worked out our accommodation to stay with our pet anyways and get around this. Had they not have been so awesome, I don’t know where we could’ve gone to stay with our dog! BringFido (booking.com) needs to change their confirmation policies by securing the pet-friendly rooms for customers way ahead of confirming day of check in! I reserved the room online in early June on BF. This could’ve of been a disaster for my whole family on our trip had the Twin Lakes Lodge turned us away and not allowed us to stay with our dog in what I’m guessing, was a non pet room. The lodge , hot springs and accommodations were 5 star. BringFido zero star based on failing to secure our room more then just mere hours before we arrived into this small remote but wonderful mountain town!
Quiet and good breakfast
Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas HendersonRoom could use bit of updating, but overall still good.
Nice modern hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham Page at Lake PowellQuiet, small area in back for dog to do business, new and clean.
Worst room we had of our 9 day trip!
Comfort Suites Castle RockThis room had stains on the carpet, usb chargers that didn't work, closet door was broken, toilet sounded like a rocket ship when you flushed it, plus other things that were really not good about this room! Place looked like it really needed some maintenance. Definitely wouldn't stay there again ever if in the area. I'd pick other accommodations in Castle Rock, unless you want to pay a 4 star hotel rate for something worse then hotel 6. Maybe this is their "pet" room but doesn't matter as its not acceptable to have a place this run down for guests, and every other accommodation we stayed at with our dog in a pet room, was way better. .
Don’t expect hotel level service
Best Western AntlersThe room was spacious enough and front desk gal great but, the maid service for this hotel, only includes leaving towels if you need them. No garbage cans emptied and TP was nearly out so I had to request and pick up from front desk myself! Nowhere is this non maid service disclosed as their policy nor did they explain why. Breakfast is decent but crowds were thick around them with no masking even requested. Dog rooms that I’m guessing they put all dog guests in need some updating, but maybe that’s how all the rooms are. Last they charge $20 a night for a pet and don’t even want to allow people to leave in room their quiet crate trained dog while still is not being truly “pet friendly” and inconveniencing guests nor safe to pets, when it’s to hot to keep fido with them.
