Nice flat, good location

We had a nice time, the flat is larger than we anticipated although the decor is a bit tired and would benefit from a touch up. The host was welcoming, although she did task us with a lot of house rules on arrival, some of which we didn’t fully take in due to our excited children burning off energy after four hours in a car. The flat is in a quiet village and there is not much going on so not for everyone. We enjoyed the peace though, and shops were only a short drive away. We were disturbed on one night by a noisy group in the flat above, the sound proofing is poor and you could hear their conversations and music quite loudly. The owners live next door and are always on hand to answer any queries. They do judge you very harshly on the condition you leave the flat in. We stripped all the beds as we were told to, mopped the floors, removed all but a few items of recycling to the allocated bins but received bad reviews for forgetting to empty the main kitchen bin and leaving a few unopened cereal boxes and a loaf of bread, which we thought would benefit the next holidaymaker. Overall it was an ok experience and the flat served i’s purpose, the cleaning expectations of the hosts are a bit much in my opinion.
