Nightmare stay
Hampton Inn KinstonThe room stunk upon entry and had cobwebs in the corners. I sprayed almost a can of Lysol spray. We went to the desk as the room started to stink again. They came down and sprayed the room. We spoke with another guess and they stated the hotel flooded a year ago and they will not stay on the 1st floor. So they obviously did not replace the floor or rugs. I hope we were not exposed to mold. Then on the day of checkout one of the maintenance men antagonized my dogs and so they nipped at him and he kicked my dog. A grown man scared of a 9 pound chihuahua. I will never stay at this location again. It was a nightmare!

Interesting stay
Mermaid InnThe Mermaid Inn was an interesting stay. It is a very old and plain facility. Items in room were old and rusted. However, everything worked well. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot. They provided plenty of towels. It's location to the beach was ideal (like 50 steps). The check-in process was down through text and there was a passcode provided to enter the room. There wasn't any attendants on the property. However, there wasn't any incidents and everyone adhered to the quiet hours.
